When should we visit?
To fully enjoy Sedona's relaxed pace and quiet beauty, consider visiting during the summer or winter months. Take your time exploring the trails, enjoy the world-class spas, and dine in the city's exceptional restaurants without the hustle and bustle of peak tourist season.
How long should we stay?
Visitors are often surprised by how much there is to see and do here. "We had no idea! We should have stayed longer!" Give yourself at least three days / two nights to experience the best of what Sedona has to offer. Ideally, stay longer if you can. Check out our don't-miss curated winter itinerary.
Where are the best hiking trails?
Sedona's most popular hikes, as well as local favorites like Mescal, Little Horse and Templeton, are now served by the free Sedona Shuttle. Yes, free! Leave your car at any park-n-ride and relax on a free shuttle to your favorite trails. Be sure to check the schedule in advance at sedonashuttle.com
What about riding bikes in town?
Many people know about the great mountain bike trails around Sedona. But even the city streets are bike-friendly, and many roads through town have a bike lane or Shared Use Path, ideal for a safe stroll or bike cruise with your family. More miles are added every year. View the map of current paths
Can we bring our dog to Sedona?
Of course! We love our furry friends. Keep in mind that dogs must be secured on a leash at all times, and please always pick up after your pet. Review the Leave No Trace principles before your visit.
Getting Around

Enjoy everything Sedona has to offer. Uptown is home to historic shops, restaurants and places to stay, all within easy walking distance. West Sedona is more spread out but is also home to excellent dining, shopping, and lodging options.
